Why Buy a Hand Held Vacuum Cleaner as a Present?

Let’s be honest when you sit down to consider what you might buy for that birthday, anniversary, wedding present, a hand held vacuum cleaner is probably not going to be the first item that appears on your list. They are not exactly a glamour item, nor are they considered to be a household essential; nevertheless I’d like to suggest to you a number of reasons why the humble hand held vacuum cleaner should be top on your list:

1.      Price to suit all budgets. Depending on the occasion and your relationship to the person you are buying the gift for you will have a budget in mind for your spending – at least a nominal figure. There is such a range of hand held vacuum cleaners that there is almost certainly a cleaner to suit your budget. From £20 to £200/$30 - $300 you can find something to fit your intended spend. Coupled with this is -

2.      It’s sometimes hard to buy anything of any real usefulness for such cost. Most hand held vacuums are relatively inexpensive and it’s not always possible to buy something in this price range that can be of real utility to its owner. So, the hand held offers you the option of passing on something that is less likely to get shoved into a cupboard somewhere and never seen again. I can’t emphasise enough the convenience of having a hand held in the home. Especially if you have children or pets or both the hand held cleaner soon becomes almost indispensable. It really is a convenience that just hasn’t been recognised yet as a necessity.

3.      The recipient will use & remember you with affection & appreciation. We all desire to buy presents that will be liked, used, bring happiness, make life easier, etc. The person who receives your hand held vacuum cleaner may not un-wrap the box and go, Wow! But if they use it they will grow to depend upon it and every time they take it in hand they will, in thought, thank you for your thoughtfulness and the time and effort you have saved them on each occasion those little emergencies have arisen where your present came to the rescue.

Why put a hand held vacuum cleaner on your wedding present list?

wedding cake

It is my intention to discuss the virtues of hand held vacuum cleaners and not my intention to discuss the virtues of having a wedding list; although I personally do consider a list to be a good thing; benefiting the bridal couple (who are less likely to receive unwanted or duplicate presents) and the guests (who have the convenience of knowing what the couple want or need.)

So, assuming you are producing a list why should you include a hand held vacuum cleaner on it?

  •  A hand held vacuum cleaner should be on your list because it is a household essential. A few years ago it was considered a luxury to have a dishwasher or a tumble drier, and a generation prior to that could only have dreamt of a washing machine. Now all these appliances are counted household essentials. It would almost be inconceivable to build a new home without them.
The same could now be said for the hand held vacuum cleaner. Although you probably don’t appreciate it’s “essential,” “necessity” status if you haven’t had one previously or don’t own one presently. Once you become accustomed to the convenience and utility of a hand held vacuum you will not easily do without that convenience again.

  •  Your guests will appreciate the option of a product with such a wide range of price points. Meaning the quests can match a cleaner to their budget. [Of course, this is not the case if you specify a particular model.] With cleaners ranging from a few tens to a few hundred pounds (dollars) it becomes a viable option for all your guests.
